Dear Forum, I joined the owners club in late 2013 and I have received the members roll, including a list of overseas members.

I have a 1952 Kaiser in running condition, but in need of restoration and some spare parts.

I would like to invite any European or Scandinavian members to contact me by email mike.fenty@ntlworld.com , to start a dialogue, and to share with me their experience of restoration and European spare parts availability.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Good morning Jack - your time.

I did not receive any literature with the car, although I have purchased a few pieces off Ebay USA - like paint chips, lubrication sheets and some magazine articles (about the only things I can find available)

I hoped that I would be able to have access to workshop manuals or servicing data after joining the owners club.

I understand that my car came to UK about 3 years ago with an American Serviceman posted to UK, and it was registered as a UK vehicle about one year ago.

It seems solid underneath, and I hope to have it on the ramps next time I am home for a good look (I work with Anadarko in North Africa)  The wiring seems a bit suspect, but that is to be expected after 60 years I guess.

Until I get it into the shop and have it professionally appraised, I am not sure if I am in a shallow hole, or a deep one financially.  But I know for sure that that I will need things like door and window seals, filters, brake components and consumables.

Regards Mike Fenty

Dear owners club, I signed up today as an overseas member, UK based, and the recent owner of a 1952 Kaiser Manhattan in need of restoration.

I have followed your postings on line for a couple of months, and there is a wealth of information available, as well as some great advice.

I have started to research the Manhattan model and my car in particular, which seems to have lived most of it's life in Nevada, and still bears the US registration plate 515 YUR.

I am interested to know if anyone has any prior knowledge of my car, or if there are any other UK or Europe based members in the Kaiser club that I can communicate with.

Look forward to hearing from anyone, and keep up the interesting postings.

Sorry for my overseas remark.

I am working in North Africa, but should be back in cold old England in early September.

Thanks to all for the kind responses, after reading your messages and looking at the Forum, I do not feel quite so isolated now.

I will certainly join the owners club in about 3 weeks when I return home to UK (I am working overseas) and I look forward to corresponding with you are learning from your postings.

Dear Forum, I am a UK based classic car fan, and I recently purchased a beautiful 1952 Kaiser Manhattan in need or restoration. I have no experience of American cars before, but the opportunity to purchase this one was too good to miss.

My car still bears the US registration plate of 515 YUR, and it seems it spent most of it's life in Nevada, before being exported to UK by an active serviceman. It is structurally sound but needs paint, interior and TLC.

I am starting to research the car and Kaiser history, and my aim is to restore the car as authentically as possible, but I want to end up with a street car that I can use every weekend - and not just a show car.

I am searching for International, European or UK based Kaiser fans that can share their experience of restoration with me, and help me source some of the parts I will need. Regards Mike - new proud owner of a car marginally older than me.
