Hi Guys..

Sorry I've been quiet these past 12 months but I've been busy with Kaiser "stuff" and more.  The new owner of my 1953 Kaiser Dragon had his car accepted at the Concours d'Elegance of America in Michigan (one of the best concours in the nation) and it just showed on the field last Sunday.  "Car & Driver" Magazine recognized it as one of the 10 favorite cars of the concours - not an easy achievement given the variety of high class cars at these events.  You can check out the attached image for more detail or the link for the "Car and Driver" website below (The Dragon is the fifth car in the photo gallery).  Here's the link:

Bringing the Kaiser and Frazer names to the forefront is what we've wanted to do and this is a great start in landing one of these cars on the field.  More is afoot at our base of operations for our company "Undiscovered Classics" in Tampa, Florida where we are known for rare and unusual cars and getting them known across the world.  We hope to help celebrate the Kaiser Frazer marque more in future years so that more folks young and old will enjoy the cars we do.

Best Regards

General Discussion / Re: KFOCI Forum

Hi Gang....

There are many sites for Corvette owners on the web and there can be many sites for Kaisers too.  I run several different Facebook groups for different fiberglass and sports cars of the early postwar years.  I just checked my Kaiser Darrin group on Facebook.  It'w worldwide and has 140 members and growing quickly.

Places to share information are growing via the web and other media.  That doesn't change the "official" groups that exist on the web be it for Corvette or Kaiser Darrin or Kaiser Frazer.

My Undiscovered Classics website gets about 25,000 people a week for visits.   My Facebook page for Undiscovered Classics often tops over 100,000 visits a week.  The different subgroups I run get a fraction of those "hits."

More promotion and interaction create more interest and discussion.  In my case, I point our Kaiser Darrin group to the official Kaiser club as a place to learn more and to participate.

Done correctly, the internet is an aid and not a sword.

Hope this helps....

Geoff

Thanks gang....found one for sale on ebay - "2nd printing" and not "2nd edition" did the trick.

Happy Holidays.

Thanks Jack - I learned from Bob Dayton that it's a "second printing" and not a "second edition."

General Discussion / 1953 Kaiser Trailer - Last Onslaught
« on: December 06, 2018, 06:05:11 PM »
Anyone know what happened to the Kaiser trailer shown in "The Last Onslaught?"  I attached a photo to this post.  It was said to be owned by Wally Hutchinson (back in the early 1970s...)

Modified Kaiser-Frazer & Willys Cars / Re: Modified Kaisers and Frazers

Thanks Gordie - keep in mind I'm working on a turquoise blue "Show Dragon" too I got from Randy Rutherford.  It has gold wire wheels.....so it's not a big jump for me to look to use gold on this car too (powdercoated gold).  Customs are always fun - especially when we have a team doing it with ideas from each.  Thanks for sharing...

Modified Kaiser-Frazer & Willys Cars / 1954 Tahitian Dragon
« on: December 06, 2018, 05:29:59 PM »
Hi Guys and Gals...(Char you out there?)

Here's the build we've been planning for about 3 years.  Design work done.  Donor car found and purchased.  Resto shop is one we've used before and they are ready.  Here's a bit about the custom:

https://www.undiscoveredclassics.com/front-page/portfolio/anticipated-car-builds/1954-tahitian-dragon/

I think this would qualify as a "modified."

Count me in and have some fun.

Hi Gang...

I recently acquired Mike Barker's Frazer Custom "Batmobile" made in 1954 by Walter Omelenchuk.  It is now on display at the Sarasota Classic Car Museum in Sarasota, Florida.  In the November, 2018 issue of Hemmings Classic Car, they mention this and invite folks to see this on display.  See scans attached of Hemmings article.  I also attached an older article describing the history of the car as well.

Come on down and check it out gang.  I'm in Tampa, Florida if anyone wants to stop by and see some cars.

Best...

Hi Gang...

Good friend Bob Dayton shared with me that there's an article in the Kaiser Quarterly in the late 70s or early 80s by Harold Wells that discusses installing a V8 in a Kaiser.

Does anyone know the exact issue that this article appeared in?  If so, I'm pretty sure I can find a copy or scan of it.

Thanks for any help you can lend.
