I prepped and painted the three spare rims that I have and installed them on the car, they all tighten up perfectly! The ones on the car either had the raised lips flattened or the holes wollowed out. Thank you for all of your comments.

I finally realized that the wheel studs are not my problem, it is my rims. I looked at some spare ones that I have and they have a very prominent raised lip around the stud holes. The ones on the car are flat which made the nuts bottom out against the stud collar. Just a matter of changing rims now. Thanks for all of the help.

Sorry, I mis-spoke on the one post. The type of lug bolt that I am looking for is installed from the back side of the hub.

No Willys use the type that use a lug nut. Thanks anyway.  I have tried matching up to different jeeps with no luck.

General Discussion / Re: Headlights

Good Morning all, Dave how much brighter are your LED headlights?
I contacted a firm called LedLight.com. and talked to them about LED signal and brake lights for my 55 Willys Custom. I ordered two 1158 bulbs for the front and two 1154 that had the red bulbs for the rear. They told me that the standard 6 volt flasher my not work properly with the LED bulbs so I ordered one of their special flashers also. They also have positive ground flashers.
I tried to install the Led 1158 bulbs in the front I could not because my sockets are in such bad shape. The LED 1154 bulbs in the rear went in just fine and worked normal with my original flasher.
I was disappointed with the brightness so I returned the red bulbs and received the normal clear ones which I installed. My rear brake and signal lights are maybe 10% brighter now. I am happy with that. I also have a six volt alternator and might consider the LED headlights.

In order post a condolence message you need to Google Mike Wilson Obituary, Thomasville, Al.

I am sure that Debbie and the family would sure appreciate it.

Parts For Sale & Wanted / Re: Ignition Key Blanks

Thanks for the info, I had seen that ad before and apparently the early Kaisers had a different key blank. I called Mrs. Hansen and left a message anyway.
The strange thing is, my ignition key has "Dodge" stamped on it. I will pursue that possibility. I will post my results so that others may have that info.

Kaiser Forum / Re: Edmonds head on a 1950 226 engine
« on: October 17, 2021, 12:06:57 PM »
All of the Edmunds equipment had already been installed when I bought the car. The spark plugs were all fouled and upon removing plug #6 I discovered that it had been cross threaded so I sent the head out to have it cleaned up, shaved a little, and the # 6 plug hole heli-coiled. We torqued everything but five bolts to 60 pound two that will not go beyond 35 pounds and then three in the back where the torque wrench cannot fit onto so we did those by hand.   Right now I am waiting to retorque all of the head bolts. The two carburetors one barrel with only one having a choke.
