I guess the title about says it all!  I need to replace a deeply pitted trunk lid on a 1951Kaiser.  Anybody have one for sale?

Let me know!

Thank You.  That is exactly what I needed!

I have a 1951 Parts Manual, but unlike other Parts Manuals I own, does not give a cross reference to the manufacturer's number.  Of course assuming that my aged eyes didn't overlook it.

I appreciate the input from the several of you who have replied.

Thanks!

We don't have any more NAPA stores anywhere near me.  They all went out of business years ago.

Do you know the Delco Number?

Regards,
David.

Kaiser Friends....
Can anyone tell me what the original coil number is for my 1951 Deluxe?  I expect it's a Delco number, but I don't have any idea what the number is....or maybe it's Autolite?

Any Help Appreciated...

David Bowling

I'm hoping one of you can help me with this....
I recently bought a 1951 Kaiser trunk lid casting from a club member on eBay.  As expected, the item was exactly as described, and I'm not here to criticize anybody as the purchase met my expectations.

I wanted the item as a plate-able core, which it is.  However, I need to get the lock cylinder out of the handle.  I don't have a key.  I took it to a local lock shop and they too are stumped by it.  In fact, they asked what a 'Kaiser' was!

Can any of our members provide a method to remove the lock cylinder.  Yes, I have the handle separated from the main casting as that was straightforward.

I would appreciate any help I can get....

Thank you.  I appreciate the information.  I'll look for one, unless you can point me to one for sale.

Thank you.  I am a member of the club (as of earlier this year)  Now all I have to do is locate my handbook.

I greatly appreciate the information.

Also, I appreciate the info on the brakes the other day.  I contacted the vendor, and have the parts coming.

Thanks again, david.

As I said in the previous Post, my car is pretty standard, but I'm pretty sure it had an air filter assembly!  It was obviously 'boosted' during it's 40+ years in a chicken coop.  Does anyone have one for sale, or know where one might be had?

Again, thanks for any help.

david.

I'm trying to figure out the dataplate on the 1951 Kaiser Deluxe I have.....So far, I've figured out the body number, the 'DR' code (1), the 'TR' code (4).

Now is where I need some help....it has accessory group (AG) Code of '9'.  What is included in the accessory group 9?  This car was pretty standard.  It had an O/D trans, a heater, and little else.  Radio Delete, etc.

Also, it had paint code of 375.  I do not know where to look that up.  Is it in the parts manual?  Somewhere hidden in the shop manual?

Trim Code is 2734....again what is it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, david.

Thanks for the information.  I'll give KFparts a try.  I hoped someone would know of 'off the shelf' kits that would work, but I'll give these folks a call.

I appreciate the information.
