The article in the link below is extremely will written, should answer your question.  Borg Warner overdrives used to be a very common option.  I don't think overdrive parts would be very hard to find.  This article has been posted on this forum in the past and is worth reading.

Hemmings Motors News has an ad for a 1953 Willys Aero Ace in Fairfield, OH.  The asking price is $9750 (Negotiable).  Anybody know this car?

This Aero Lark has been relisted on ebay motors as a "New Listing".  Four days left and there is one bid for $100 on it.

The location is not stated.  I believe this car is a 1952 Wing and not an Ace as advertised.  Strange rust through in the fender by driver side headlight ring.  The starting bid is $5500.  The engine looks like an F Head 6.  There are no bids on this car at this time.

This single owner car looks nice and well kept.  Has 161 F-Head engine, apparently no overdrive.  Although seller is a dealership in Mass., the car is registered and located in Nova Scotia.  It is listed on ebay and on the dealer's website.  The VIN is: 654-KB3 10868.

General Discussion / Re: KF for Driving to Meets
« on: June 09, 2019, 04:02:13 PM »
One should consider safety and comfort factors when considering to drive long distances in an older car.  Many cars from the 50's and early 60s do not have air conditioning, seat belts, let alone modern car safety features like collapsing steering columns and air bags.  This offset crash test of a 1959 Chrolet Impala versus a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu gives a lot of food for thought.  As much as I love my old cars, I wouldn't drive one of them as a daily driver anymore.

A "Buy it Now" price of $3,498,100!  I think that is wishful thinking.  I don't know enough about Tuckers, but I am skeptical about a Tucker convertible with only 10 miles on it.  Jalopnik has a story on this car with comments from the Tucker Automobile Club.  See link below:

I saw the Spruce Goose when I visited the Queen Mary in Long Beach CA in the 1980s.  The Spruce Goose is now located at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville, OR. Read more about the Spruce Goose at:  https://www.evergreenmuseum.org/the-spruce-goose.

Yes, this car looks solid.  Although the car is listed on the Boise Craigslist, the location appears to be in Gresham, OR which is just outside of Portland.

Centralia, WA (location of this car) is located halfway between Seattle and Portland OR, right off of I-5.  Tempting, but I already have one project car.....
