Judging & Factory Correct Discussions / Re: To judge our cars or not.
« on: January 01, 2019, 06:36:26 PM »
I have attended national meets held by car clubs that do and do not include judging, I feel the judging does add an air of competition that does upset or disappoint too many participants to make it worthwhile. These days we need to do all we can to maintain members enjoyment level. An available set of guidelines for car owners to follow if they desire would serve well as I don't think a lack of formal judging diminishes the quality of restorations.
The KF club judges do a fine job of a difficult task, I wonder if the time required for this is better spent kicking tires, seeing the sights of the area where the meet is held, enjoying the fellowship of members and engaging with interested members of the public.

There are a few KF cars in these parts as well as the ones that have found their way to our place. We are in the Edmonton area.

Any thoughts out there on a current realistic value on this Kaiser?  I saw the car a few years ago and it is as nice as it looks in the photos.

General Discussion / Vacuum advance required
« on: August 24, 2016, 11:54:31 PM »
Does anyone know of a supplier who may have a new/nos Auto-Lite vacuum advance part #VC-2082A  for a '51 Frazer?  Exploring less costly options before getting one on e-bay for $53.00 + $18.00 shipping.  Thanks

Thanks very much for the reply, good info. If a new diaphragm was required would it have to be made? I doubt it is an off-the-shelf item at your Trico store.    Bob

General Discussion / 1951 Frazer vac window

Is there anything one could run through a vacuum window actuator (neats foot oil, trans. fluid) to smooth the operation of it? It goes up and down but is a little jerky, possibly from lack of use.  Thanks.

Very good, thanks for posting it for all to see. The KF story really is fascinating.

Cars For Sale & Wanted / WTB 1951 Frazer
« on: October 29, 2015, 11:40:37 PM »
Greetings. We are looking to add a decent 1951 Frazer (no more projects please) to our fleet. My Father met a gentleman from PA at the Gettysburg meet this summer that had had some heart/health issues and was thinking of selling his Frazer as he was no longer able to drive. He also owns a Henry J. If anyone knows of this car or others please contact at     KFbcallfas01@hotmail.com(remove the KF in front e-mail address )
                                  Thanks.  Bob

It can be welded but the person has to know what they are doing. It is a specialized process.
