Kory: It might help if you could get the car to an upholstery shop so you can have an upholsterer give you an estimate of yardage required for the job. Pictures work too...especially with measurements.

I dug these out of the closet for the first time in ten years. Looks like three Banthrico and three Lincoln Line plus a Lincoln Line Stock Car. The red, yellow, and green cars had broken/missing windshield dividers. I trimmed toothpicks and painted them to match the color of the cars. The repairs have held up for 20+ years.

I don't know about the others, but mine are both 3' x 4' dealer posters.

Henry J & Allstate Forum / Re: Best place to buy a clutch
« on: September 08, 2017, 01:18:47 PM »
I recall asking for a HJ clutch. The counter guy (60 years old in 1999) said "same as willis". I said "I don't think so". He said something that made me feel stupid and uncertain of what I knew even though I had intimate knowledge of HJ clutches having owned one since 1977. So I ordered it. Returned it the same day it arrived. Had the original one rebuilt. Maybe there are many Willys variations when it comes to clutch disks... all I know id this one would not fit. Too few splines? Center shaft opening too small?

The splines on the disc were not the same. The guy insisted that it would work so I ordered it. Didn't fit.

The last one, while not KF, is my favorite. It was made by cutting vintage tire ads from large magazines from the 40's and 50's then assembling them into a neat pattern. Wife hates it.

Don't let the parts counter guy talk you into buying a jeep clutch. It wont fit. There is a local brake and clutch rebuild shop that I have used. Maybe an option where you are?

Lowell:

Did the parts list of HJ parts that we assembled include NAPA numbers for upper and lower radiator hoses?

I kept the non vacuum assist fuel pump in my HJ. I installed a brass fitting in the manifold and then attached a short length of small brake line. I bent the brake line about 45 degrees and cut it approx. 12 in long. Then I attached a rubber hose that ran from the brake line to the wiper motor.

Mine is a 2pc. There was a K-W version there when I bought mine.  Colors were different: red, white, blue.
