For many years, one could buy a rebuilt engine thru the Sears catalog...

Anyone have an old Sears catalog with replacement Henry J engines listed? Was it a special edition?

I was trying to find factory information about the different colors used in 1952. I do have a couple of paint chip sheets but I am not sure the aftermarket paint suppliers show every color that Willys actually used.

Thanks for posting the engine photo! I have been trying to find some Henry J engine photos but it seems like they all have a V-8 engine   If you have more photos I'd like to see them.

Thanks very much for the reply! I have been keeping track of Supersonic engines that are swapped into Willys Jeeps. There are more Supersonics in Jeeps than I would expect to see. The engine serial numbers I have documented are between 3501493 and 3558675 so I guess they were all removed from a Henry J.

Did KF dealer replacement engines have the same serial number format?

What is the format for the engine serial numbers on a 4 cylinder Henry J or Allstate car? How do you know if a vehicle has the original factory installed engine?
