I thought it was a T-86 transmission.  Is there a difference in terms of seals from the T-86 to T-90 or T-96?

If you find a lead on rebuild parts and gaskets, please share the info.  I have a spare transmission that I would like to go through.

I rebuilt the engine in my 49K 30 years ago and put 2 miles on it.  It has been sitting in my shop ever since.  I would no like to finish the car (interior, chrome, trunk lid paint, wiring harness). Have not been able to fire it up.  Within the last few days I have rebuilt the carb (it now squirts!), replaced the coil (internal resistor from NAPA), and turned it over, lubricated the cylinders, and checked timing (4 degrees before TDC at cranking speed).  There is spark, but I fear it is too weak.  Tried to get Champion J7 plugs at NAPA but no luck.  What plugs should I use?  Every now and then it will fire on one cylinder, but it will not start.  Any advice would be much appreciated.

Does anyone know of a supplier for body side molding clips that would work for a 49 Deluxe?  I need both uppers and lowers.

Have you made an attempt at this?  I would like to do the same for my 49.

Thank you All,
I like Nason base coat / clear coat because it is readily available in my little town, and it is almost as easy to spray as nitrocellulose lacquer.  I have tried working with my local PPG shop but they say they can't provide with any colors going back to 1949.  The TCP Global link look promising.  Many Thanks!!!

Does anyone have a Nason paint formula for Academy Blue Metalic for a 1949 Kaiser?
