Darrin Forum / Fuel pump pressure
« on: August 04, 2023, 12:46:50 PM »
I made the mistake of sending my fuel pump to Then and Now.  They rebuilt it using a spring off the shelf which resulted in too much pressure.  Their response was that they have no way to check pressure and any carb should be able to handle 7 lbs of pressure. They agreed to send me an assortment of springs.  I installed the weakest one and still have too much pressure.

Does anyone have an original pump or spring that they can part with.  If not, does anyone have specs or at least picture of the original spring.

Hi Steve,

The car has awindshield  washer system, one nozzle is on the car in the proper place. I need one to complete the washer assembly.

Looking for one (1) windshield washer nozzle for my Darrin. Did any other marques use the same nozzle?  From the replies I guess it is far to think no one knows where a replacement for my missing nozzle can be found.

The car looks absolutely FABULOUS!  What brand of paint are you using and do you have the formula?

Judging & Factory Correct Discussions / Re: To judge our cars or not.
« on: December 31, 2018, 11:21:23 AM »
I'm new to the KFOC but have shown cars at the AACA meets.  In AACA the owner has a choice to be judged or not. If you choose to be judged the car is awarded 400 points just for driving on the field.  When items are found not to be as the car left the factory, points are taken away.  A certain point level is needed to achieve various levels of awards.  Cars in the same class are NOT judged against each other.  As a result there can be several first place winners in each class or if none of the cars score the lowest minimum points needed thee may be only second or third place cars in the class.  Something to consider.
