I changed my frost plugs which are the cupped (?) type and they started to pop out and I was told I put them in backwards, convex in towards the block. Any advice/ pictures would be of help. I have rubber expansion plugs in now.

My parts list shows two springs,
# 212730, spring, return, 29 coils
# 209790, spring, assist, 23 coils

All the springs I have are completely shot and I asked Kaiserwillys about a replacement. their # 630593A measures out at about 6-1/4". Would someone know what length the stock spring is?

Should the clutch piviot pin press into the front trany cover? Mine slips in, not tight.

I wonder if I have to remove the motor plate or just leave it on and clean it and repaint?

What have you done to remove the cam gear on a 161? My pullers can't get behind gear. I'm thinking of heating gear then try and pry it off.
