Parts For Sale & Wanted / Free: Henry J rear seat springs
« on: May 07, 2023, 10:19:14 PM »
Set of rear seat springs back and lower from a 52 Henry, rough shape, but better than none, these are free to anyone who may need them.

Petersburg Indiana, just come get them.

I have a Willy's Jeep / Henry J L134 flathead 4 with a manual trans, generator, carb to oil pan, radiator / fan to trans output shaft.

Starts, idles, runs fine as far as I can tell, first start in a couple years, no smoke.

It is from a former Newport Hill Climb car that supposedly competed for 22 years before I ended up with it.

I have video of the engine running on 05/07/2023.

I am in Petersburg Indiana.

Manual trans comes with, and can even include the driveshaft and radiator, sorry no air cleaner. The complete engine, trans, driveshaft are still in the car so one could see it start and run in person. I can send video if you provide a phone to send it to.

I have a engine hoist and tools, so if someone wants to come get it we can pull it and they can get down the road in short order as the hood, fenders (inner and outer) are off the car.

Everything, $1000

Thanks
Stu

PS: not listed anywhere else yet.

Hello, first  post, I didn't see introduce yourself thread or I would have posted there first.

I recently acquired a 53 H/J, or whats left of it, modifications will be the word for it.

It barley has a lip around the trunk, virtually no floors, and the rockers are well past replacement panels until I put some more support in the body. The doors won't close the body is so tweaked from the middle of the car being gone.

It will be a challenge just to get it to being able to make a rat rod out of it. However that is not where I want to go with it, gasser but no flat black.

The frame is so bad I will be making a new one for it, going to try and get the old frame out/off in one piece so I can duplicate it, with better (thicker) wall tubing. I am fortunate that I have the machinery and welders to do that kind of work.

I did have the original 4 cyl with the trans, without a head, and the block is clearly cracked, however there are some parts that will be usable by someone else.

Pics will come as I go along.
