Yes, the car was an automatic, and trying to use the old gearshift selector is quiet a challenge.

Very nice stainless guard for the 51 and later Kaisers.  Small imperfection on top right corner but hardly noticeable.  Priced at $20.

For Sale is the automatic transmission out of my 51 Kaiser Deluxe.  It worked flawlessly for me but I no longer need it as I did an engine swap.  The transmission is located in Huntington Beach, CA.  It is priced at $300.

For Sale is the engine out of my 51 Kaiser Deluxe.  It is the complete engine with all components, including the starter, geneerator, 6 volt alternator, carb, distributor, and manifold.  The pistons show to be .020 over and  the cylinder walls are like new,   I removed the engine because it developed a miss on #5 cylinder and my attempts to resurface the valve seats was unsuccessful causing a loss of compression.  Valve inserts would bring the engine back to life but I decided to go with an engine swap.  The engine is located in Huntington Beach, CA.  I am asking $200 for everything.

Regarding the different hights of the carbs, I understand that these engines were used in racing boats. These dual carb manifolds were designed for use in them.   The engines were installed as such a severe angle to feed the prop that the dual carb manifold needed to have different length inputs to keep the carbs level.  Thats what I was told, and I'm sticking to it.
