Cars For Sale & Wanted / Re: Dragon for sale, NOT MINE

Good catch RIALTO, I only noticed the engine paint was not too attractive and never saw where the fuel pump was. Still seems like a good deal on a handsome car but its in CANADA and there is probably a costly import fee to bring it across the border.

Been there and done that myself. Sorry to hear of your bad luck so far. I'm sure you know that you should drain the milkshake out of your engine so as not to cause further damage but Ill say it anyway as a reminder. Did you check your spark plugs to see if the coolant has made its way into the cylinders? Could be a leaking head gasket

So a mold for recasting 51-53 wheels exists somewhere. Who did the wheels for the club? Seems like they could recast mine with little trouble. I could have a casting done but that first wheel would cost around $2500.00

I will be in the market soon for a cherry or recast tenite steering wheel for my 53. What are my chances of finding one and what should I expect to pay?

Kaiser Forum / brake pedal stop

My 53 Dragon has an uncomfortably high brake pedal at rest. Should there be a rubber pedal limiter/stop that might be missing on the engine side of the floor pan? If so, who sells new ones? My Hudson has one that looks like a donut and keeps the pedal assembly  from banging against the floor pan when you side step the pedal. It also limits the pedal height about an inch.

Kaiser Forum / Re: clock repair

I talked to Car clock Doc here in SoCal and although he would not convert it to a quartz movement, he said the Kaiser clocks were a well made quality clock and should last many years. I went ahead and mailed it to him for a tune up and repair if needed. When I removed it, I saw that it was not wired up so it may or may not have worked. I thought after 60 years it would at least deserve oiling and adjustment. Was quoted 40 to 60 bucks if nothing was broken. He said he had parts if needed.

now that my radio is looking and working good, I want the clock to work. Has anybody had their clock serviced and had good results? I thought a quartz conversion would be a neat upgrade, but the first place I emailed said they could only service mine for $69.95 plus return shipping.
