Cars For Sale & Wanted / 1953 Dragon on Hemmings, Elkhart, IN by dealer
« on: October 06, 2022, 11:05:53 AM »
Hi Everybody,

I mentioned in my post the other day that a '53 Dragon is for sale in Elkhart IN.  Here is the link (hopefully it works) for you to view photos as well as a video.  https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/kaiser/dragon/2623129.html
If the link doesn't work just type in hemmings.com and then search for '53 Dragon.  It should come up quickly.
Thanks for replies I have received thus far.  Perhaps this link will get more members looking and maybe one or two know this car and have some opinions.

I may have interest in buying a '53 Dragon for sale by a dealer in Elkhart, IN but am wondering if a club member sold the car to the dealer or if any member knows something about the car.

Appreciate any information.

Thank you,

Johny

Both of these beautiful cars have been sold.  Thank you for your interest and questions.  Pleasse to say that the cars are in the hands of enthusiastic club members.

Hi Everyone,

I have sold my 1949 Kaiser to a gentleman from Wisconsin.  He knows old classics and has already joined the Club.  Great to have found an enthusiastic and knowledgeable new owner.  I will remain in the Club while going thru Kaiser withdrawal.

Next up is Don Pribble's beautiful '53 Kaiser Manhattan which I think Don has owned for around 30 years.  I have seen the car and it is gorgeous and is museum like quality.  Give Don a call for all the details.  I am sure he will mail you photos.

Hi Everybody,

This is John Patti (10223) letting you know you that I am putting up for sale a beautiful 1949 Kaiser Special which I purchased from Don Pribble in 2011 then sold a few years later and bought it back in 2019.  The gentleman I sold it to joined the Club and invested close to $10,000 in it.  You can see it in the 2021 calendar listed in January or better yet go to Hemmings.com for a very thorough description and over 4 dozen photographs.  Simply search for a 1949 Kaiser.  The listing price on Hemmings is $18,500 but would love to sell to a club member and will discount the price.  If you wish to contact me I can be reached at 630-428-0984.  The car is in Naperville, IL and ready to go.

Don has a near museum quality 1953 Kaiser Manhattan that he is willing to part with.  If you have seen the car you know how beautiful it is.  If you want details about the car call Don at 217-733-2579

Appreciate your questions and interest.

Johny

There must be someone out there who has taken the trans apart and had to replace all the seals.  Where did you find all the gaskets and whatever else was needed to seal the trans. properly?

thanks,

Johny

My 1949 Kaiser Special with manual trans. is leaking trans oil.  I have found a set of four gaskets on E-Bay  ( For 1949-1953 Kaiser Deluxe Manual Transmission Gasket Set Felpro 93319JB 1950) that supposedly is appropriate for the car.  Can anyone confirm that they have used the same gaskets or recommend other gaskets and offer suggestions on what else generally needs to be done?  I will have it done professionally and wonder if anyone can offer a price idea.
Thanks,
Johny

I called Fram to see if they could provide me with the paint code for the oil filter for my '49 Kaiser Special and they  couldn't.  I figure someone in the club would know or I will just have the paint color matched. Most of you know it is orange.  Appreciate the help. I need the decals for the oil filter and the air cleaner but do not have the order sheet from the Fund.  Who can I contact?  Should know this but sorry to say I don't.

Thank you,

I need to transport a '49 Kaiser from Las Vegas to suburban Chicago.  I would prefer not to use a broker but instead find a company that is located close to the Chicago area especially in Dupage, Will or Lake Counties.  If you know of such a transporter I would appreciate hearing from you.

Thank you.

Kaiser Forum / Adding Power Steering
« on: May 08, 2019, 03:18:32 PM »
Having a difficult time finding a shop or person who can install power steering in a '49 Kaiser. The car is currently in Las Vegas but will be moved to Chicago this summer.  If you know where I could get the work done please let me know.

Thank you,

Johny
