Cars For Sale & Wanted / 1951 Kaiser 2dr Special for sale
« on: January 16, 2011, 08:53:58 AM »
Was getting ready to restore my 51 and we have desided to get out of the car show scene. The body is as solid as a rock, minus some rocker rust and alittle rust above the back wheels. I have brand new rocker pannels that go with the car. It does need new floor pans, the frame seems very solid also. I did hear it run when I got it, they had a small gas can under the hood. The owner had been working on getting the gas tank clean and had it disconnected. All glass is good, front windsheild is a little smokey on the bottom. Seats dont seem to bad, the last owner had glued some kind of blanket material over them, but they feel solid. door pannels have been re covered dash is good shape, needs headliner, I have all the headlinner rods. All in all the car is really solid and will make a nice ride. I am asking 3,500 for it or trade for a Harley Sportster. I will send pictures to anyone who has serious intrest. Ok I have not had to much intrest so here it goes,[
I will take 2,000.00 for the car I would like to see it go as soon as possible. Pleas give me a call or e-mail tlorick66@hotmail.com or 419-305-1639[/b][/u]    Thanks

Kaiser Forum / Kaiser Rebuild
« on: January 13, 2011, 07:16:36 AM »
 ???
I am getting ready to start my rebuild on my 51 Kaiser 2Dr and have a couple questions. My seats are shot and was looking into leather seats from like maybe a Cadillac, has any one ever put different seats in their Kaiser? Also I want to go through the engine looking for the best place to get a rebuild kit also a carb kit? I know I had asked this before a while back. I am going to go more toward the custom look and would like to put some different rims on if possible any ideas.
Thanks in advance for any help, I know that most of you keep your Kaisers original and stock, but I perfer the custom look, so up front I just want everyone to know that I appreciate the stock and original cars. I went with a Kaiser because not to many around and I love the body style.
   Thanks

Kaiser Forum / 1951 Kaiser 2 door.
« on: November 02, 2010, 01:21:42 PM »
I finally got the Kaiser home sunday, she is pretty solid . I have a couple questions to start. First I would like to know more about it from the model plate under the hood and in the door frame. Also when I raise the hood it wont stay up on its own, is this normal or is it missing a part on the hinges. I want to do so much to her I am really excited i think it has an awesome body style. Is it Worth rebuilding the original engine? I love the flat head and would rather keep it but have read that they are not very reliable any comments. I kept the original 216 6 in my 49 Chevy I just pulled it and installed all new gaskets freeze plugs and gave her a paint job. The motor has never gave me any trouble. The previous owner said it runs but I need to get a new battery and give it a try. One more thing in this section. Did all Kaisers have the over drive? I did not see any button under the accelerator. Please let me know.
Thanks to all more questions to come.

So basically I need to keep the rims that are on it. The tires look pretty new they are coker. I would like to find chrome bullets for the centers any ideas.

Thank you every one for the information, it looks like the engine and drive train is all in pretty good shape. I was going to pull the engine and tranny tear the motor down have it cleaned up etc, install new rings and gaskets and paint it up. Looks like it might need a new distributor and cap. Nothing major. Any good advice on this and a place to get the parts. All help is appreciated.

               Thanks Terry

Kaiser Forum / Rims and tires for my 51 Kaiser

Again I am very new to the Kaiser world and was wanting to know what bolt pattern is on the kaiser. The car looks to have the original rims with the small moon hub caps and coker wide wall bias ply tires. I was wanting to put a different set on her. Any one with this information would be great.
         Thanks Terry

Kaiser Forum / New to the Kaiser World
« on: October 20, 2010, 06:46:20 AM »
Glad to have found this site, I just picked up a 51 kaiser. I am very new to these cars and know nothing about them, but I think they are a really kewl car and can not wait to dig into it. Right now all I know is its a 2 door and runs like a top. Body is in pretty good shape needs some minor work. My first question is how do I tell what model it is, and is the Darrin emblem on the back from this car or was it put on there by someone. I have a ton of questions but will not flood your forum all at once. It will be at my garage this weekend, I cant wait to really dig into her. Any help will be appreciated.
            Thanks
