Kaiser Forum / Re: Engine paint
« on: February 28, 2014, 01:01:18 PM »
Here is my first 49 Frazer Manhattan motor that John Parker rebuilt for me and painted the right color.
I wish I knew where that 49 Frazer was today...

I still have the 64 Econoline p/u !!  My Dad was a pack rat and saved this truck, I ask him for it years
later and he said he was waiting for me to ask for it!!

Anyways, There's John Parker's 49 Frazer color. Yes, He was a really cool guy. One time I went there
for a part, he let me work on my car at his shop in Fullerton,Ca., then a friend of his came over to have
lunch with him and he told me not to sell his shop too cheap and off he went with his friend to lunch
and left me by my self working on my car!!
I also remember needing hub caps for my 49 Frazer, he had NOS's ones for $25 each, and I thought to
my self "I'm not going to pay $100 for 4 hub caps!! "  I should of bought all I could get!!
I should of become a life member then... and not traded off my Frazer... But I was only 19yo...

Well enough of me rambling on...

I need some of that paint too...

Hi, KF Friends!!
I was looking at my first 49 Frazer Manhattan and thought I would post pictures of it to see if anyone knows
where it is... I don't think I've posted these yet though I might have!!

Also whats this I'm hearing about Rudy P. ? He's a few hours from me and I could really use some part. Cash is low right
 now, but soon!!

Morning KF Friends !!
I was poking around on my computer ( I should be working...) and ran across this link to a nice 49 Frazer for sale.
                http://car-from-uk.com/sale.php?id=29729
I got my hopes up thinking it would be easier to get this one, great price, then to do the 49 I have now...
It was sold  :(    I wonder who was the lucky guy who got it.

My Frazer motor runs but the wiring needs help. I think I'll get new wiring from the guy I see in the bulletin each month.
I've redone the brakes too.  It does have more rust then I care for but not too bad. I'm also into the older
60's Ford econolines. I've seen some of the econo's the guys are redoing... Lots of rust and work!!

I have a 5 window pickup my Dad bought and I learned how to drive in when I was 9 yo.
I also have my 64 econo van I use every day for work.

Well Just thought I would chime in with my stuff here. It's nice to hear what everyone is up to with there KF cars!!

Frazer Forum / re pop or original

Is there a way to tell if the plastic frazer horn button is a re pop or not?

If I heard right they were remade in the 60's or 70's by the club...

Is there a way to see full size pictures like with Rudy Phillips 1949 Frazer Convertible?

It's nice to see the owners, and names with there cars.

Also, the 1951 Frazers is not mine...

Always been interested in the power windows. Do the button always go in the same spot as this car's are?

I also noticed that the rear door button is right under the pull handle... (look at the 3ed from the last pic)

just lost my borrowed truck & trailer to take my 49 to the national meet. So it will be just us two going.

I'm still working on getting the frazer to move on its own :(

We're going (2 of us) and I'm trying hard to get my 49 Frazer there too, I'm rebuilding the carb now, but I need to do something for a fuel pump. I just need it to drive on the trailer, then to the line-up with the other cars when I get there. I'm thinking a small can under the hood for the gas tank and gravity feed to the carb.

I also just got a Frazer pink slip from the DMV with my name on it!!! No plates yet...

Frazer Forum / Re: Ground Wire Hook-up 49 Frazer
« on: June 02, 2011, 05:47:33 PM »
She woke up again !!

I used a jumper wires to power up the coil and with my new cables from NAPA (#1 wire but not the right ends) little gas in the carb and she started right up. Kaiser Bill helped me about a year ago get it running the first time, after it had been sitting for years.

NEXT: rebuild the carb..

Anyone ever use a big fuze (like the ones for the new aftermarket car stereos) from the starter solenoid to protect the rest of the old wiring?

Thanks I see it now...right where I took it off...

Now is there an easy way to use the starter button & key in the car to start it and...Have the rest of the car "NOT" powered up?

My wiring kinda needs work and I don't have that much black tape...LOL

I see them on ebay and I'm not sure if there the right one or if the price is too much.

I seen the prices on other 49-50 Frazer parts go up 3 times they were when I first got my car just a few years ago.

Any guide lines as for price or who has them at a fair price.

General Discussion / Front Suspension
« on: April 24, 2011, 08:03:39 PM »
I'm looking at my Front Suspension on my 49 Frazer and was wondering about part. Are they at NAPA or is this a "KF parts guy only" part?   Cost?

How do these Front Suspension hold up? Do they need a rebuild or can it be adjusted?

I know different car need rebuilding at different times (maintenance) but do these last a long time?

Are the part a pain to install?

Thanks, Will in Whittier
