Steering Wheel Cover
« on: February 07, 2017, 04:37:07 PM »
Trying to find a steering wheel cover for my '54 Kaiser Special in order to make the grip area fatter. Would take it off for a show. Seems the upper limit is 16.5 inches D. Wheel measures 17" D. Tried a 16.5" to no luck. Anyone have a source, please?

Perhaps get an upholsterer to make one.

Trying to minimize cost. Can have one made for about $45.

Try some of the auto parts stores and especially stores that cater to hot rods who often use the original larger steering wheels.  Our club sold them at one time and they were blue with a yellow center with the club slogans and emblem in the centers and had 17 1/2 " diameter.  Maybe someone has one that they are not using. They were made of Naugahyde.

Have been trying truck stores as available, but not hot rod, so will try. Want something close to the overall maroon color of the interior or ivory of the wheel. May have to get one made. Thanks
