Preferred epoxy?
« on: August 26, 2018, 03:05:54 PM »
Greetings All! It’s been awhile, but slow progress on acquiring parts and fabbing some bits. I’ve been working on my Ford while waiting:-)
Anyway...there’s quite a choice but what is your preferred epoxy to join the various metal parts to the fiberglass? Ex:the hood latch perch, mounts for the hood hinges, or the trunk latch housing.
Regards,
Noah

I have been using Evercoat Fibertech to bond pieces in and then overlay with fiberglass. This stuff is unbelievably strong and works very very well. Not really an epoxy or resin but a reinforced filler with impressive capabilities.  Here is a link for both the pouch and the half gallon, I have never used this seller but should give you a good idea as to what this product is....

Just my opinion, Hope it helps
