Is it true that the 226 timing marks align when the number 6 cylinder is at TDC? Seems like an easier check than the 9 links at the #1 cylinder.

Check the tune-up information in your factory Shop Manual for the particular K-F product you have. It seems a lot easier than the "click" system.
