1948 Kaiser Special Parts Catalogue
« on: November 02, 2008, 12:31:16 AM »
I just aquired a beautiful 1948 Kaiser Special. It is completely original. Less than 26,000 miles on her. I need the parts catalogue so I'll know the parts numbers when I go to buy something. I'm just buying up some extra things that I may need somewhere down the line. Anyone out there know where I can get one? If so, email me at azthunder9@hotmail.com. I've been watching ebay but nothing so far. Picked up new wiper arms and blades there. A new horn ring, and horn cable. The beauty rings for the rims. Etc., Etc. Thanks for any help you can give me, Bob

Keep watching ebay.  They show up on there pretty regularly. I got a darn near mint one last spring for $9.  You could also try Terry Zeug in CA.  His e-mail is zeugskfparts@roadrunner.com

Edgar Kaiser's custom 1951 Henry J
1951 Kaiser Special

Thanks guys, Terry did me good. I've also got some other good parts from him. I got a lot of good stuff from Seth @ KFKING. The old gal is starting to look real nice now with all the cleaning I had done on her. Not 1 scratch, zero rust, and the upholstery is great. Looking for some white wall tires like the ones that came with it when new. Any ideas? I guess I'll just get out the phone books for here and Phoenix and see if I can find them there. Thanks alot all, Bob

         HAPPY NEW YEARS ALL !!!!!

Coker Tire in Tenessee sells a lot of vintage tires. I've never checked to see if they have the correct type for the early Kaisers.  Their website is www.coker.com
Also, Kanter Auto in New Jersey sells tires -
www.kanter.com

If you're in Phoenix, Larry Barker would also be a good person for you to connect with. He's in Peoria, AZ. The phone number listed for him in the KFOC roster is 623-486-1403

Congrats on getting the car. The 1947/48s ride great, are relatively easy to keep running, and if you take it to a rally or show, you'll have the only one there!

I got my new Goodyear's for my '48 Frazer from Lucas Tire in Long Beach CA.  Be sure you get 4 1/4" wide whitewalls to be authentic.  They really make a difference!  Enjoy your new find!
