Finding 49-50 Frazers
« on: September 17, 2009, 02:21:13 PM »
I started a list with pictures of the 49-50 Frazers I've seen. I was hoping I could get some help finding them.
So far I have:49 frazer Augie Pando,49 frazer FrazerFrog,49 Frazer Gary Sand,49 frazer George Devol,49 frazer Sean Smith,50 Frazer Hardtop Ben Halko,49 Frazer Hardtop Thomas Morganti,49 Frazer William Shippy. I have some pictures under John Musiskos name but don't know what he has for sure.
Then Kaiser Bill has 2 I know of: #1  http://www.kaiserbill.com/Parts-Cars/Car-53.JPG
#2 I cant find the picture but its a parts car.
The KF On Line Registry has: 65 standard, 59 Manhattans, and 23 contv. I also know some of those are from junk yards.
Hope I can find more and help identify who's has what with your help. Pictures are good too.
Thanks Will

Are you looking for those you sent pictures of, or are you looking for pictures that you don't have of the 49-50 Frazers and Kaisers that are listed in the registery? If you are asking those of us who have 49-50 Frazers to send you pictures and information, then what information are you looking for? I'll gladly send a picture of my 49-50 Frazer and information. I was just a little confused by your email request. Sorry ::)

Jeri, I would love to see some pictures of your 49 Frazer. The bigger the pictures (more then one) the better.

I'm interested in the Frazer's mostly. I was able to download over 100 pictures from Tom M.'s link. I would like to know the owners too.

Any history of a car would be cool too along with any info you think is interesting about the car, who owned it, cool interiors, exteriors, KF options, where or how it started from to where it's now or going...etc...
Theres a lot of after market stuff for the early KF's that would be cool to show too.

I keep thinking of making a website "with lots of pictures" for Frazer's but mostly 49-50's.
So to answer your question...all of the above :)

Thanks, William

Okay, some of my pictures are at:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/41052016@N02/?saved=1

If that doesn't go in automatically, just cut and paste it.

It is the original body, engine, etc. The 1949 plate is green and has the model as 495; body 1; body number 15944, etc., then there is a serial number F-505-015897 on plate on the door. The car was registered with the DMV as a 1950. The car runs and needs brakes and is pretty trashed on the inside dash, ceiling and the back seat is missing. As far as we know, everything else is there with the exception of broken front and back light plates. I live in Browns Valley, CA and believe we are the third owner of the car, possibly the 4th but can't document more than 2 back before us. Car was originally found in sitting in a field.

Anyway, I've read that the 1949s that hadn't sold in '49 were redesigned with a new front grille, a Kaiser-Frazer combined emblem and a different hood ornament. My car has all the original Frazer emblem, mercury head ornament and a 49 grille. If there are certain pictures that you want larger or other pics you might want, I have over 100 of them taken of the car and can send through a regular email in the larger format. Just let me know.

Thanks Jeri, Keep us up dated on how it's going and thanks for the info.

My 49 was sold in 50 too but has the "496" tag which makes it a 49 like yours.

I see your in northern ca., another member Bob Gilzean lives in Chico by you.

Thanks again, William

Yes, I've spoken with Bob and will meet up with him and the El Dorado group next Saturday in Petaluma. What is your website so I can get a look at other 49-50s so I can see where I need to end up with her restoration.

If I had your e-mail address I would send you pictures of my 50 Manhatten.  Without the address I don't know how to go about it.
