1949 Water Pump Issue
« on: May 24, 2015, 09:51:07 PM »
I drive my 1949 Kaiser back and forth to church most Sundays. It's about a 40 minute round trip. A couple of Sunday's back I heard a racket under the hood and then it went away. I drove on but when I got to church I noticed the water pump pulley was destroyed (hence the racket) and the belt was off (hence it quit making the racket). I ordered a rebuilt water pump and found a similar sized pulley and installed both yesterday. She's back on the road now and I drive it to church this morning.

I've got done play in the crank and it leaks oil s little. Will probably rebuild it in the winter unless it gives me trouble before then.
