The New Petersen Auto Museum
« on: December 03, 2015, 08:34:55 PM »
I just visited the "New" Petersen Automotive Museum (go on-line and check out the new look) and found many pictures and parts of Kaisers.   While the outside might bring comments like " what's that?" or "How does that relate to cars?"   THe inside is great and is definitely 21st century!!!   If you come out here to LA, visit this museum.

Cannot imagine why they sold my 54, but glad they did.  It's a beauty.

Over the years I have found that general type car museums have to balance the unusual with the interesting.  You can have a collection showcasing the rarest cars in the world but if nobody plunks down their cash for admission, etc, the whole thing is pointless if you need financial support from the public to justify existence.  Kaiser-Frazer products have great stories behind them, are not often seen in many parts of the country but Corvettes, 57 Chevy & ford cars, muscle cars and race or hot rod types draw the people in greater numbers.
