Something to Chew on for Awhile...
« on: January 05, 2010, 08:49:08 PM »
Hey folks, thank you for your time.  I really don't know much about Kaisers, but I have a question. Can anyone identify the car in this picture?  It's from an old TV show that came out in 1954, the same year the Darrin debuted.  The car looks sort of like a Darrin, but it doesn't have the sliding doors. Maybe it's a Hollywood morph. For you older folks out there, it's the car used in the old series, "Rocky Jones Space Ranger."

Thanks for your help!

In an effort to look as futuristic as possible, Roland Reed Productions, the company that did the syndicated TV series sought out fiberglass bodied sports cars to use on the rare occasion where an automobile was needed.  Among the handful of cars used over the course of the series, there was a Kaiser-Darrin.  Unfortunately (at least on my computer) the image you put in will not open.  If you can send the pic to me at kaiserfrazerlibrary@yahoo.com, I will see what I come up with as I have information on several kit car makes of the day as well as the darrin.
