Art was previously the manufacturing fund manager and was instrumental at getting it off the ground. Without him, the fund - and the KFOCI - would not be what it is today.

His obit mentions he was with NASA but what it doesn't mention is that he was the lead electrical engineer on the space shuttle program and everyone involved with the cabin's electronics reported to him. Quite an accomplishment to say the least.

Art was a good friend and will be missed.

Anyone can add a condolence in the obituary  I am sure Arlene and the family would appreciate it, The KFOCI was such a big art of their lives.

In the early 1980's, Art was working at the Lompoc, CA NASA facility and regularly joined the SoCal Region at our meets, especially Hoffman's Hurrah in October. That's when I met Art & Arlene. Always enjoyed hanging out and chatting. Found each other on Facebook a few years back and stayed loosely in touch that way. Last time I saw them was either Sweetwater or Shipshewanna. An all-around nice guy, everybody should've known Art.
