HJ HOOD CONTACT TO FENDERS
«

The hood hinges on my '51 HJ do not seem to be as strong as my '53.
When opening the '51, I must be careful to keep it parallel or it will contact an edge of the fender.
'53 doesn't seem to "wobble" into the fender.
Explanations?

If you're getting movement left to right I would think the hinge joints themselves are warn and allowing the unwanted wiggle if the mounting bolts are indeed tight. My '55 Victoria had a little wear and did the same.

Can someone provide a pic of these hood reinforcements?
I am not able to see my '53 for inspection.
