Doesn't seem to be a hard top.  Listing doesn't call it a hard top either.

Perhaps the wrong link?

That one is sure worth the money if you have a hard top or convertible and need parts for it!  There is no location listed.

He is difficult to get ahold of.  And his ad gives him all the control meaning there is no phone number.  I have his phone number and tried for months to buy one of the 49 Virginians. He has never called back.  I would even send him a snail mail letter expressing interest if I had his address.

If he is a KFOCI member I would even join to get this contact information!

As for this car, I am not a fan of the 51 Frazer restyle. I know some like it.  The “beak” of a grille and concave area underneath are odd. Some symmetry lost in the side work. I don’t care if it is 1 of 1 I just would not own it or a convertible.

I suspect Duane could offer these cars for free and they would not find new homes.  $800 is pretty much free.  There is a 1949 Cadillac Coupe deVille hardtop project on my local Craig’s list in worse condition than this car for $3100.  He has incrementally lowered the asking price and there are no takers.

These 2 cars are essentially contemporaries in that they are 1st year hardtops. Used to be a 49 GM hardtop project would get $5000 to $10k.  Now nobody wants them.

Hey Chris tell Duane I’ll buy his most complete Virginian project. He can reach me at 515-201-8490 or email me at abc.moran@netzero.net
