Converting to 12 volt system - advice and directions needed
« on: September 28, 2011, 09:34:13 AM »
I have a 48 Frazer Manahattan and was looking at converting to a 12 volt system. Question: Has anyone done the conversion and, if so, is there any documentation or advice for making the conversion so that everything works ok.

Do you want the complete car to run on 12v, or just the starting system?

Why do you want to convert the electrical system to 12 volts?

Exactly. Why?  If you want modern reliability, go to a 6V alternator, and 6V optima battery, and a 6 volt fuel pump.
