1951 Frazer Standard Sedan $600 or about any offer
« on: March 08, 2012, 11:08:54 AM »
In the AACA Buy/Sell forum today I spotted an ad for a Michigan car, a dark green complete save the carb 1951 Frazer Sedan for $600.  I loved the look of the car as I am abig Dark Green fan. The interior was 2 tone green as well and the car looks complete.

I am on my business computer so do not have multiple Internet Explorer options where I can cut/paste it over here. Maybe someone else can.

Unfortunately, this car would cost me $1000 in transport or I would take a run at it. It likely will never be purchased but I thought it was topical and might be of interest. Not sure if it's a hydramatic car.  Check it out.  A complete last year 51 Frazer for $600 obo.  What a cool project!

Hopefully it will attach.  He says obo, willing to deal....maybe get it for scrap price.  I wonder where it falls in the VIN sequence to see how close it is to being one of the last ones

If it's a '51 Frazer standard, it will not have Hydramatic ( a good thing in my mind as the pre 1952 single range unit was not that good). Only 1951 Frazer Manhattans, all of which were hardtops or convertibles, were available with Hydramatic.

The owner emailed me. This is a one family car. Was Grandmothers car when parked.  With no money in it, per se, this is a free car as I suspect $250 would buy it. The real cost would be in removal and transport- and of course restoration.

I also wrote the owner and asked about parting the car out. He wants it sold whole and I can understand that. Looks like a good parts car.
