Source for embossing data plates?
«

Anyone have a source for embossing (reverse stamping) the engine, gen, and starter data plates? I tried AG Backeast, but they want $60 to emboss 7 numbers which seems a bit high to me. I do want it to look original so engraving is out of the question.
Also, anyone have a source for the brass drive nails holding these tags on? I found stainless steel on e-bay so may go that direction if brass isn't available.

Couldn't find at Restoration Specialities who I normally go to for clips, etc.
Thanks.

Check with Mark Steel. I think he was making Engine data plates.

Harbor Freight had some reverse stamp kits at one time that allowed stamping on the backside. It's been a few years since I saw them.

Quick look at their website right now I didn't see them, but they have regular stamps. Regular stamps will work from behind if you only need 1, 8, 0, A, H, I, M, O, T, U, V, W, X, Y.
