control arm tools
« on: August 08, 2009, 12:24:42 AM »
Am finally starting to put the '53 Manhattan bod back on the frame. Am replacing all the control arm bushings, and note that the manual calls out tools KF7 and KF9 for correctly spacing things. I would expect few have said tools in their inventories, so am wondering how others handle this. One option would be to make them exactly as the present installation, except that I think on the lower anyway I replaced them ca 1977 and have no recollect how I did it. As the two are slightly different, I hesitate to take this route. I suppose that if someone had the tools the outer length would be definitive and could be easily transmitted. Ideas? Advice? tips?
