If either of you end up doing this, be sure to post lots of photos of the process

Chevy Caprice works for the 1951 and newer Kaisers.  Look for something with the same wheelbase as the early K-F cars.  I'm wondering if any late model Honda Accords or Nissan platform would work.  I have a 2010 Honda Accord and I sure wish I could put something like that under my '51 Kaiser conv. body  The frame on my car is all beefed up and I will probably end up using a later engine and transmission and front end and keep the Kaiser frame but you can't beat the power, handling and good gas mileage of the later luxury cars.

Just a note, if it fits a Dragon, it will not fit a '48 Special - two different bodies, two different wheel-bases.
The '48 K has a 123.5" wheel-base and the '51 and later cars (four doors) have a 118.5" wheel-base

Aren't Accords and most Nissans unit body cars?

There is a easier swap. Go to Kaiserbill.com and look under "restorations" and then "Nova
front suspension". This is a picture by picture guide on cutting the 51-55 Kaiser frame at the firewall and welding the front sub frame from a NOVA (chev), Omega (olds) Venture (pontiac)
or Apollo (buick). Then you can drop in a GM small block V8 and have power steering with disk brakes etc. He used a '68 but these GM bodies were for used years. I am sure you could research
other makes with the same track width as the 46-50 cars and do the same. It doesn't look
that difficult. Anyone have the front track width of the 51-55 bodies and the 46-50 bodies?
