Incredible Journey in a 1947 Frazer
« on: June 16, 2017, 10:28:02 AM »
A KFOCI club member who lives in Argentina is planning to drive his 1947 Frazer from his home in Buenos Aries to San Antonio, Texas here in the United States. Orlando plans to leave on December first and aside from a ferry boat ride from Cartegena, Colombia to Panama, he will be driving the entire distance in his Frazer.

I have asked him to keep us informed of his progress both prior to his departure, as he prepares the car for the journey, and once he is underway. He didn't say if he's doing this solo, but I would imagine he'll have a chase car as well as others to travel with.

The entire trip will cover about 12300KM, which works out to about 7650 miles. He plans to arrive in the states about January 10.

Stay tuned for more!

Incredible Journey is Correct!
I hope he has a medical doctor or a veterinarian (preferred), and a psychiatrist along so when he gets here he will be able to handle the horrible mental illness that our country is now encountering.
Good luck with that!!

Here's a short presentation outlining the journey. You'll have to dust off your high school Spanish to read it...or cheat and use a translator.

Orlando's plans are to then continue on to New York where he will eventually have the car shipped back to Argentina. Quite an endeavor to be sure.

Remember several years ago when Tito Curia drove his Kaiser Carabela from Buenos Aires to New England where he met with Charlotte Dayton?  He drove solo and has several videos on YouTube.
You want REAL adventure?  Check out the Herman Zapp family.  They have been driving around the world in a 28 Graham Paige.  Along the way they have had four children!
