I see lots of early Frazer upholstery, with a sprinkling of Henry J and 49-50 Kaiser Deluxe as well.

There was a fellow near Bowling Green Ohio - Paul Brimm - who had the stock of Willys interior material. He had a wall in his parts barn that was nothing but pigeon holes filled with rolls of seat covers and headliners for Aero and Willys utility vehicles. He bought the stock of Willys stuff from KF and he loaded it in his lumber trucks (he ran a lumber yard) and he told me they used coal shovels to load most of it - there was that much.

Paul passed away about 15 years ago and soon after there was a large auction. I bought a pickup load of parts and material for less the $100 and quickly sold most everything.

Some of you may recall a 1954 Aero convertible one-off prototype study that popped up several years ago. That car was owned by Paul and he sold it to the fellow who restored it.

Paul also had an extremely low mileage 52 Aero (a few thousand miles) that I had the privilege to drive. It was truly like driving a brand new car in 1952. I should have bought it when he offered to sell.

Your best option on that might be to have a local upholstery shop order in a sheet of cowlboard to cut a new one, using your old one as a pattern.

Thanks Mark.  I think it would be very easy to make one but I need "dinosaur grained" cowl board to the get an authentic look.  I've never looked but there may be something available. I'll do some research.

The new cowlboard has an embossed pattern but not that, or the wrinkled "leather" pattern that was in my Aero in a couple locations.

Here's close-ups cropped from a couple recent shots. First one is some old trim pieces from the bottom of original '52/3 arm rests, which I describe as having a " wrinkled leather" pattern, on top of the modern cowlboard I was cutting new ones from.
Second shot is the new board under my dash.

Both locations had the same material, black all the way through and ever so slightly thicker than the new stuff. I looked all over the place and never found it.
The modern stuff is black on the embossed surface only, cardboard colored on the back and cuts at the edges. I blackened my edges with a black marker.
I got mine through a local shop that gets a truck delivery once a month from Activefoam in Chicago (locations multiple states). Miami, and I think everyone else carries the same product.

On Your firewall Plates  You will see Paint , Trim & a Number. This is what is a standard of Interior.

That's the problem. My firewall plate is gone thanks to the body shop.

Kory, if your car's serial number is below 38000 then you will have trim code 550. If it's above, it'll be 122.

550 = Maroon and gray pinstripe
122 = Maroon on brown pinstripe
