KFOCI Forum
« on: February 08, 2019, 04:41:23 PM »
This  version of our forum has now been in operation for over eleven years and has had over 45,000 posts and many topics discussed and has been very successful.  It was started by club members and is funded and operated and monitored by the Kaiser-Frazer Owners Club International.  It is available to anyone with an interest in Kaiser, Frazer and Willys cars built from 1945 through 1955.  It is one of the benefits of being a member of KFOCI.  If you use it please be respectful of the club, its members and its goals.  Disrespectful comments are not welcome and they can be deleted as well as the writer being removed from the forum as well.  Comments can be modified after posting but do not start a post and then delete it after receiving additional comments as that leaves a post that does not make any sense to new readers.  Everyone's participation is welcome and we all learn more about our cars, Kaiser-Frazer Corp. and our members from reading the forum.  Enjoy.

It has come to my attention that rogue sites are on facebook pertaining to Kaiser-Frazer products.  This is the only one authorized and monitored by KFOCI.  Statements that may have been made on these sites are not from members authorized to represent KFOCI.

Perhaps consider an "official page"...they are great alternative sources to utilize! Knowing that FB is not used by the more seasoned members, there may be some disconnect. I find this true with my Ford group that I admin.

It can be (and has been)d determined that we have almost double the members of the forum than we have members of the club.  It can also be determined that many of these non-members have been forum members for at least 3 years.  Personally, that tells me that such people are only members because they want free help, etc from club members.  Why should they spend the money to join if they can get the help, sources for parts, etc. that they need from time to time for free?

I'm curious what makes the sites "rogue"?

Just curious which one, although it sounded more like someone than a particular FB group site, of which there's several K/F/W groups in N & S America. No doubt there's a Henry J, wouldn't be surprised if a Darrin group was out there somewhere too.

Jim Lape & Jennifer Lipster created and administer an official Facebook KFOCI page: https://www.facebook.com/KFOCI/

Adam Harder created & administers one for the Mfg Fund: https://www.facebook.com/groups/258865570880008/

But there are a number of pages on Facebook that are not authorized by the club that have attracted a lot of non-club members, including but not limited to: Kaiser/Frazer Automobile Page, Kaiser Frazer Enthusiasts, Kaiser Darrin Enthusiasts, Henry J Cars

...some potential club members...it’s not a bad thing if a small percentage wished to join the club. I look over all those pages. It’s all about networking. Unfortunately, not all are interested in a club or can make the Nationals. My summers are busy touring, but renewed today😎

Bulletin Editor,
Looks like I am Member of The Two on Facebook. So Now any other will remember may not be True less We Hear in Bulletin that We Added them.

Now We also Have Members Only server to Look Up History & Story’s. I need to see that I can Sign in.
That’s on The Internet’s Club Page. Correct?

Ok, Someone had Richard Langworth’s Dragon Den News Letter. Now this has been a Few Years back.
Now I can’t Find it. This was not Dragons only. They reported Meets like Our Bulletin now. Some Members said when Langworth did Newsletter that’s what The Club called it ?

Open to Anyone that Could Help with This.

Thanks,
G B

At present the only material in the "Members Only Content" section of the club website are back issues of the Bulletin: Dec 2014 - June 2018. However more info, such as the Handbook and Judging Standards, may soon be added.

Are you thinking of Jim Betts' personal website, CircleKF? He has lots of material there; some available to all, more in a restricted area for KFOCI members only.
