Old Memories:
I used to own Darrin #137 in the 1960's. It was in really bad shape when I got it in Kansas City and was highly modified inside since the original dash and windshield were broken. I think it had been converted to take a 1953 Olds curved windshield. I had the reglassing and paint completely redone at a Corvette shop in Grandview, MO, but could never stop the cracking in the paint. (By the time I got home there were cracks) It was converted to 12 volts and had a 12 volt starter from a Buick 8. The OD was converted to 12 volt Studebaker(?) solenoids. I sold it to someone from southern Missouri who I think owned a Dairy Queen. Just curious as to whether it survived, was ever restored, parted out, etc. It had a McCullough supercharger mount on the right front engine block. I gave the guy the supercharger but it was never operational that I know of. I think the pulley was on the front of the crank. It was originally Pine Tint repainted white.
