Needing rear window vent rubbers
« on: April 21, 2012, 03:59:46 PM »
I need a set of rear vent window rubbers for my 54 Kaiser.  They're the same 51-55 with opening vents.  I do know the club has these in the manufacturing fund but I'm looking for an alternative.  Of course, I busted my old ones off BEFORE having a fresh set...bad idea.  Hope someone can help...I need these to get to the National!!!

Rudy has reproductions listed in  his 2010 Catalog. He likely still has them.
1953 Henry J Corsair Deluxe
Edgar Kaiser's custom 1951 Henry J
1951 Kaiser Special
1952 Allstate Deluxe

Hi Lowell.  Rudy has the left side only NOS, no right side.   :( Not sure if he or John Parker had these reproduced, but if so, he's "out of repros."  I know the last time I talked to him about the fronts (about a month ago), he was out of those too and was "uncertain about having them rerun."

Fortunately, I bought a set from him about a year ago and put these on...they fit perfectly.   :) :) I sure hope he redoes the fronts, members certainly need them.

Thanks for the info Mike. Looks like I need an updated catalog. I figured you must've tried Rudy by now. Ray Frazier has a lots of parts yet if you  haven't tried him.

Lowell. I don't see to have a correct e-mail address for Ray...everything I try kicks back.  The one in the bulletin isn't right either.

On another note, I was approached by an ex-club member 17xx?  this weekend at the Charlotte Autofair show from MN who owns a HJ.  I was wearing a "got kaiser?" shirt (reduces my verbalization with the parts vendors and minimizes laughter on their part) and he stopped my and said "I have a HJ"!  Sorry I didn't catch his name but he seemed to know of you; he said there wasn't much KF stuff going on in MN!?  He didn't seem humored when I said, "ever thought about moving?!"

Hi Mike, I don't have any more info on the part you're looking for but I did not see your previous post about meeting the member from MN. I don't know who that might be. Todd S has a couple of Henry  Js and he knows me well. He is an X-club member but had a very high number. Perhaps the guy was Jim Finn from Duluth? He still has a couple of Js if I remember correctly. Also, when I get home to my other computer, I'll see if I can find Ray's e-mail. The one printed in the ad was definitely wrong.
