'53 Corsair on ebay

Anyone know anything about this one?

Looks pretty nice.  You see a lot of low mileage 4 cylinder Js still around. Probably because a four without overdrive, could not be driven long distances... at least not comfortably.  Also, if someone purchased a four without OD, it was probably not their intention to use it on long trips.

It's unfortunate that someone drilled holes in the dash to mount the speaker behind the grill. Very unfortunate since two of those speaker mounts sold recently on ebay (albiet as part a kit). It certainly does not make it a bad car that's for sure. From the description it sounds like it's been converted to 12 Volts which could be good or bad depending on how you look at it.
It will be interesting to see if it sells and what price it brings.  I'll be watching it.

That's nice.  In fact, might be one of the best survivors out there.   I did find his comments about "please no low ballers" interesting on an auction.   If enough eyeballs view this and it sells, then these are the sales that should go into the price guide values.

I enjoyed the photos but not sure I want a 4 cyl non OD Henry J.
No old cars owned.

Check this one out -

'52-'55 Kaiser hubcaps and a '51 HJ hood ornament. Probably other things too but it may just be a good car. If it brings that "Buy It Now" price then it may be time for me to divest one of mine.
