I'm finally installing the speedometer cable and I ran into a couple of questions. When I first started rebuilding the car I replaced the rusted out floor so now when the cable comes out of the transmission instead of hanging from a support of some kind it lays on the exaust pipe. I'm going to install support clips for it but my question is how tight a turn can I make in the cable without causing problems? The other thing I found is the little shaft that the cable connects to in the back of the speedometer does not turn freely. It turns, but feels like there is some sort of resistance. Is this right or should I take it out and clean it? Thanks for your help, Bob
