I will get some scans for you of the worn out stuff in our Carolina.
There are at least three materials:
A simple vinyl on the seats with a cloth insert called contemporary cloth I believe.
The simple vinyl is also on the dash and door panel.
Also on the door panel and the b panel (floor to ceiling) is a contemporary vinyl.
Headliner is soft cloth like a HJ.

The information on fabric color and type is listed in the KFOCI HANDBOOK Version 4.0 section on the 1953 Carolina.

yes the handbook explained the material.  but to see the setup and the color might (and probably will) make the search a little eraser to find.

when you get a chance please send the pictures as they will help a lot

Hi Mike,
Our Carolina is a Trim Code of 5020
Sportsman Beige Contemporary fabric with Burma Brown Vinyl Trim
Here is a picture of a Door Panel and a close up scan of both vinyls
The Brown Vinyl is also trimming the seats, and on the padded dash.
The Contemporary vinyl is just on the door panels and the B Post cover.

What is your trim code??
I will search for a good piece of the Contemporary Cloth to scan.

I have seen that 5020-a Trim Code before.  Jack M indicated I do believe it was a Factory Special Order.  Do your door panels resemble the one I posted the picture for??.  Do you have any samples of the Seat Inserts available at all??

sorry to say i have NO interior no headliner no door panels.  the drivers seat is so wrong (red leather with an ash tray). i don't think it came with the car.  but i have not dug it out to see exactly what it is.
