Unfortunately, this is normal.  The plastic is highly attractive to static which pulls in the tiny bits of dust and airborne debris which over time "irritates" the grooves.

Here is a new one - "A Brush Up On Engine Tune Up".  I really enjoyed this one ... and it has stuff I can really use to tune up my cars.  Sorry about the barking Guard Dog but I guy has to protect his Literature Collection.  http://circlekf.com/kflit/FS/kffs4805/kffs4805.wmv

Well all the filmstrips and records I have are now scanned and recorded. Here is a link to all of them. The ones that show a record label are audio only. Dave Hollen is shipping me this weekend a set of 16 Filmstrips and records which should more than double what is already posted. THANKS DAVE. Back in a week or so with new ones from Dave for your viewing pleasure

Thanks for digitizing all of these.  A lot of work no doubt.  I have enjoyed looking at them.

Dave's package arrived today!!
Let the learning begin ... These are not Filmstrips and records - these are Sound Slide Films!
I now believe these Sound Slide Films were not at every dealer but used at the KF Service School in Willow Run and/or possibly used by Traveling Instructors.
Dave's package has three Slide Films to match up with previous audio only records.
Three new sound and Video films and three new videos only.
I guess you would say I am in digitizing heaven!!
THANKS DAVE

Distributors were allowed to obtain copies of the visual presentations used at the factory and by the field service reps so they could conduct their own trainning sessions to help the dealers in their territories.  Factory-owned distributorships were supposed to have full sets for just such use.

So Factory class room training backed up by training using at distributor locations regionally.  The big spots located on this 1947 advertisement would be those distributorships.

That is correct.  Graham-Paige (and after January 1947 Kaiser-Frazer) divided the 48 states into 150 sales territories.  Not all territories had distributors at all times.  Starting in 1948, the company began switching some of the smaller operations into Parts & Accessories distributors rather than Cars, Parts & Accessories.  Another re-alingment in 1952 turned more of the old guard into P&A only.
