Identify non-KF
« on: May 15, 2013, 11:29:45 PM »
My sister-in-law stopped off the road in central Utah and took pics of some cars.  I could not figure out these two.

Looks like a '53 or '54 Chevy, but the chrome is not exactly right.  Don't know what else it would be.

This one is close to a '37 Buick, but it's not an exact match, because it has a chrome around the grill and on the '37 Buick the grill bars come out over the body with no chrome trim.  If anyone can help identify these two cars, I would appreciate it.  She also took pics of a '39 Dodge, a '48 Pontiac and a '38 Oldsmobile.

Upside-down car looks like a 1951 or 1952 Chevy Fleetline 2-door fastback.

I think the other car is a 1937 Dodge.

Thanks for the help.  Definitely a '37 Dodge after comparing pictures online.  I'm still not convinced about the Chevy, though.

It looks like a Pontiac fastback... 1949 - 50.  Here's a video of one

Chev and Olds would have that same body. The chrome trim in the video is a little different but that's likely what it is.

The upside down car is a 1948 olds 98 Futuramic fastback coupe. I hope to post a picture.

THANK YOU!  Mysteries all solved now.  I wouldn't mind having one of those '48 Futuramic fastbacks, actually.
