1953 Manhattan
« on: November 09, 2009, 01:32:03 PM »
On the rear wheel wells I have some fittings for ?? Since the Stainless trim was already gone si that the only item that goes there? Is this considered the fender skirt or is that another part. I know what a regular skirt is but i don't know if that applies to the trim or not. Thanks, Dan

Here's a link to a 54K Special...essentially the same as your car except for the front sheet metal and tail lights. The stainless trim ran the length of the car. The skirts were held in place by two spring loaded arms that slipped into inverted 'U' shaped channels at each end of the wheel opening. There are also two small tabs attached to the body in between the wheel opening. These tabs were used to hold the skirt in place so that it would ride down on the body.
