Giving away some Henry J parts. Alameda, CA 94501
« on: January 11, 2016, 11:33:27 PM »
Here are some parts that came ith the HJ I bought. I'm not going to use them, so I want to offer them up here before they end up at the metal recycler.

I can ship them, I'm only asking any taker to pay for shipping and packaging and maybe a few extra bucks for my time & effort.

Starter, Generator, fan, rear engine plate, brake drums and pads, flywheel, air cleaner, front brake backing plates.

For anyone looking for HJ parts, it's important to note that the generator and starter pictured are Delco-Remy meaning they came out of a '52-'54 Corsair deluxe. They do not interchange with Autolite versions used on the '51 Henry Js. The flywheel and cover plate is different too - it's for '52-'54 HJ and requires the correct clutch housing and Delco-Remy starter for it work.  They look like good parts, I already have plenty of spares so I don't need them but I want to be sure that anyone who is looking does not fall into the "all Henry J parts are the same" trap that novices often do. The air cleaner is for a six cylinder Henry J, all years and the brake drums will work on any Henry J.
I hope someone saves these parts.
