Wiring of the KD
« on: January 26, 2016, 12:30:25 PM »
I am interested rewiring one of my Kaiser Darrin's. Does anyone out there have information where I can find old cloth wrap, wire harnesses, and connectors and plugs? Any suggestions and thoughts greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

I agree with Terry...call Bob McBride. You'd spend more in time and material than just buying a complete and ready to install harness from Bob.

Maybe 20 years ago, I supplied Bob with the wiring diagram for the 226-powered Willys Aero. It was for a customer of his. The diagram was not color coded. He had the customer's car there and, while remanufacturing the customer's wiring harness, he color-coded the diagram and returned it to me. I do not have one for the F-head 161, L-head 161 or F-head 134 because no customer has yet to come to him for one. I'll make the 226 Aero diagram available if anyone needs it, but I recommend going to Bob. All these years and I have never heard a complaint about his work, only praise.

Thank you guys for the feedback. I will plan to give him a call when I get back in town.
btw, I was in Scottsdale for the car auctions and Kaiser Darrin cars sold very well at auction.
