Kaisers, Frazers, Willys, Henry J's, among Studebakers.......
« on: February 14, 2017, 07:56:01 PM »
Here is a link to a album of pictures at Jim Bahr's place in Wisconsin. While there are many many Studebakers, there are also Kaisers, Frazers, Willys (including Aero's, Jeepsters, etc), and Henry J's.

Hope you enjoy.......and sorry about so many Studebakers.  ;)

Great pictures! There's some interesting iron in that yard...an Avanti, a couple Conestoga wagons and a Wagonaire.

A few years ago I got a call from a fellow wishing to clear the back yard. I went to look at what he had and found three rows of 59 thru 65 Studebakers, most were Lark 6 and 8 convertibles. Unfortunately, Ohio winters had taken their toll so all but two or three were parts cars. In the mix were also several Willys wagons...the late owner ran a service station...and three or four Kaisers. I scavenged what I could and the remains are probably today parts of a few new Toyotas...

Good stuff! Brings back memories of the early '70s when we'd get up on Saturday morning and cruise the back roads of Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and South Dakota  looking for KFs. Seems we always found some! Most in yards that looked just like this.

Regarding "some of us like Studebakers too". I sold Jim a '63 Studebaker wagon (white) about 22 year ago.  Can't find one in the photos even though it is supposed to be there.

Those were interesting accessory bumper guards on the '51 Henry J in the first photo.  It looks like many of those cars were in good condition when purchased but many years of Winters and being stored outside has taken its toll.  Most are parts cars now!  Too bad.
