'47 GP Frazer would like to meet good parts

I'm searching for a KF branded spot light that will fit my father's '47 GP Frazer.  Also, would like to find the spring for the fuel filler door.

Very few accessories were available for the GP Frazer's.  I know that the heater and tail pipe extention were but I believe the spotlights came out later in 1947.  Whitewall tires were not available until about the time the Frazer Manhattan was introduced.  My GP Frazer has a heater but no defroster.  It has a plug in the hole where the defroster switch would be on the top of the dash.  Radios were not announced until May 1, 1947 and spotlights on January 23, 1947 after the end of production of GP Frazer's.

When Spotlights first came available in about 1947 to 1948 they were produced by Unity USA. They were Model S5 and later the S6. There are very minor differences in the two models. They were 6" diameter and were installed in the A Post. In addition, it had the High Crest with the KF running down the edge of the crest. Unity USA still sells Spotlights that are very much like what they produced in the 40' and 50's. There is very minor changes in design that only the very knowledgeable person would notice.

the comment on Graham-Paige type accessories was interesting....

As normal judging has looked at the issue, if an accessory was released during the model year of the vehicle (in this case 1947) and application per the factory included the vehicle make/type, it should be considered ok for judging.  You have to remember that it would be possible for a K-F dealer to get a Graham-Paige tagged Frazer in April or May of 1947, perhaps even June.  This reflects the last G-P tagged version coming off the production line March 31, 1947, shipment to a dealer or distributor and (especially dependent on where the distributor was located) how long the car would sit in inventory before being sold to a dealer and then to a retaul customer. 

Remember too that even radios and heater/defrosters were dealer-installed accessories.

My very original low mileage Graham Paige Frazer has a heater but not a defroster.  It has a plug in the dash where a defroster switch would be.  Also my '51 Kaiser was walked down the assembly line by the owner who was also a K-F employee.  I bought it from his estate and his brother told me that he did not want the "Darrin" emblem installed on the decklid so there is none but there are two small dimples in the original paint where the holes for the emblem would have been.  I found the original emblem under the back seat.  Aren't our cars a challenge to judge?
