Add one more, gas cap gasket bad.  Add warm conditions and garage has a lingering gasoline stink.  Chased for couple months looked at all of above time and again.  Took cap off one day and looked at underside, saw tear in gasket, replaced.  No odor since.

Not gasoline related but a friend of mine was restoring a 1951 F100 and baked the newly painted brake drums in the oven. The divorce was imminent.
