Early reproduction Studebaker rocker panels didn't have the factory original curve to match the contour.  Maybe the case with this HJ  ??

There was a time some years ago where someone tried to hand-form rockers for K-F products; I remember George Buchinger (I said some years ago) had a sample showing the "step" on the 1951-55 Kaisers.  Maybe this is part of the proejct.
